Google Posts – How to use this free feature!

Introduced in 2017, Google posts are completely free and allow businesses and organizations to share updates, events, product promotions, seasonal offers, emergency updates, job listings, and other key information directly to Google My Business listing.

Google posts show up at the bottom of the knowledge panel (information boxes) that appear when a user searches for entities (people, places, organizations, things) in Google. These free posts are a great to make your listing stand out and drive traffic to your website.

How to create a free google post.

  1. To create a google post you simply need to login into your Google My Business account. If you do not have an account it is important that you Add or Claim Your Business on Google. Listing your business on google allows customers to find you on Google Maps and Search Results.

  2. Once you have logged into your account, simply go to Posts and choose the type of post you would like to add: Offer, Update Product, or Event. Simply follow the prompts for each type of post and then Publish the post when complete.

  3. Curious on how your post is performing? Google keeps track of the number of views and clicks.
